About the role and about You:

Zwift is looking for mobile/C++ wireless integration engineers to join our growing team. You will help architect and engineer the link between cutting-edge fitness hardware and the Zwift MMO. You'll also have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with designers, producers, engineers, artists, and product managers to build new features and help grow our core gaming experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide architecture, design, and implementation expertise to the game development team.
  • Determine technical dependencies and deliver detailed technical designs to stakeholders and fellow engineers.
  • Mentor other engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and pair programming.
  • Identify technical risks and help build mitigation plans.
  • Work with engineers and product managers to scope and plan projects.
  • Assist cross-functional teams with hiring by interviewing candidates and referring top talent.

What we’re looking for: 

  • 3 - 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Comfortable mentoring other engineers and participating in technical discussions.
  • Expertise in C++ and mobile development (iOS/Android)
  • Experience using platform APIs to communicate with various external devices over various protocols.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: hardware integration, UI development, multi-threading, memory management, and/or profiling. 
  • Strong production troubleshooting skills.

Bonus points:

  • Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy communication protocols
  • Familiarity with ANT+ communication protocols.
  • Experience working on an MMO and/or AAA game.
  • Experience shipping cross-platform games, especially: iOS, tvOS, Android, Mac, and PC.
  • Interest in creating fun experiences around cycling, running, and overall fitness.
