Girlboss seeks a Javascript fluent front-end engineer to join on the ground floor of a cutting-edge social product. Responsibilities will include collaborating with colleagues in digital product, UX, and design and software development. Our ideal candidate is a generous collaborator; keeps continually up to date on developments in the field; seeks out opportunities to improve our products, user experience, and business growth; and is eager to push existing frameworks to their limits and develop new ones. You will work with a small, world-class development team responsible for designing, implementing and shipping new features as well as improving existing features and front-end infrastructure.

You are excited about the future of the web and mobile platform and are capable of building performant, scalable code that accomplishes business goals against an ever-changing digital landscape.

In this role you will...

• Build efficient and reusable frontend systems and abstractions
• Identify and communicate frontend best practices
• Find and address client performance issues
• Work with backend engineers to build and ship projects
• Collaborate with design to iterate on the interface and implementation of product

You should...

• Possess advanced knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
• Have experience using modern JavaScript libraries and tooling
• Have experience with MVC web frameworks, such as React and Angular
• Have experience using build tools, such as Webpack, Gulp, and Grunt
• Have a strong grasp of how browsers and DOM work
• Be proficient with client performance considerations
• Be proficient with browser developer tools
• Have demonstrated UX sensibilities
