Position Overview: Develops, maintains and releases electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying company, industry and governmental standards. Using design tools prepares documentation and incorporates design changes. Creates, develops and maintains systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and assisting in identifying design discrepancies. Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities. Develops and maintains product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to moderately complex. Coordinates activities and products with internal partners and external suppliers. Works under general direction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintains releases and assists in developing electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data, by applying Company, industry and governmental standards.
  • Independently performs set up and testing of digital and power electronics hardware.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and documenting test failures.
  • Using design tools, prepares documentation and incorporates basic design changes.
  • Creates, develops and maintains elementary systems designs.
  • Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of moderately-complex product installation designs and part designs.
  • Supports coordination with internal partners and external suppliers.
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment while engaging with multiple development teams to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Works independently and under minimal direction.
  • Demonstrates strong analytic and problem solving skills.
  • Collaborative teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to work across internal and external organizations.

This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree in electrical/electronics engineering or related discipline.
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in electrical testing concepts.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Circuit design and analysis experience
  • Experience with digital and analog power electronics
  • Experience with building and verifying test harnesses
  • Ability to utilize and manipulate hardware and equipment to quickly isolate faults.
  • Demonstrates strong analytic and problem solving skills.
  • Collaborative teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to work across internal and external organizations.

Typical Education and Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
