Who you are:

Currency is seeking a talented Engineering Manager to help us build and harden our revolutionary equipment financing marketplace platform. In this role, you will help us grow and develop engineers to build a fault-tolerant enterprise platform capable of scaling, and matching financing requests to hundreds of potential lenders, allowing our clients to more effectively and quickly find financing for their equipment purchases. You will be a key part of our leadership team helping us strategize our grow to reach our goals. As a member of the Product and Engineering Team at Currency, you are part of a small, autonomous and world-class team on a mission to free up the flow of capital and credit to businesses large and small, and allow those business owners to support and sustain their family members, their employees, and their employees’ families! Our team is leading the revolution to transform how businesses attain, manage, and disburse their capital and credit. We are working daily to build out a transaction-enablement platform that removes all unnecessary friction for the parties involved, including the business owner, the seller, the service provider, the lender, and the capital markets. What you’ll do:

We are looking for an awesome Engineering Manager that has strong skills and experiences with mentoring junior engineers while motivating mid and senior level engineers. We are looking for a natural born leader who has the ability to challenge the norm while hitting company objective and engineering goals. Ideally we would like to see this person still active in the weeds of code.

Qualifications:

• Database experience, both relational and document-based (MongoDB, CosmosDB, etc)
• 3+ years experience in managing developers
• Experience with cloud and serverless deployments
• Modern JavaScript frontend frameworks like React, Angular, Vue, etc
• Experience with Node.js
• Experienced in Agile development cycle
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
