About the Engineering Manager at Headspace:

We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager in our Santa Monica office. This role will play an integral role in the ongoing efforts for the Headspace app and work closely across the product and engineering teams.

What you’ve accomplished:

• 7+ years of relevant engineering work experience
• 4+ hands-on technical management experience
• BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience working with open source technologies
• Ability to thrive in a startup (fast-paced, agile) environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to be self-directed when necessary
• Exceptional coding abilities and experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale applications
• Actively coached and mentored team members in their careers
• Been actively involved in setting product strategy
• Consistently made culture choices that positively impact all of engineering
• Designed software systems for scale and resiliency
• Shipped several large scale projects with multiple dependencies across teams
