As the Director of Salesforce Development, you’ll be responsible for leading and executing the development, configuration, integration, support, maintenance and overall vision of the Procore Salesforce platform. You’ll work cross-functionally with team leaders in every department to realize the full capabilities of the platform. You’ll also help to oversee and manage the administration of other SaaS systems and their integration/communication with Salesforce.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage a team of Salesforce Developers, Administrators, and QA Analysts.
  • Grow and elevate technology teams by fostering collaboration, supporting continuous learning, and encouraging innovation.
  • Inform and shape strategic decision making by presenting critical technology options to achieve efficiency and competitive advantage.
  • Establish best practices and processes with regards to system configuration, development, testing, maintenance, and release management.
  • Perform routine review of code, configuration, data and usage to ensure long-term viability, integrity, and adoption.
  • Manage best practices and processes related to administrator functions such as user management, profiles, roles, permissions, rules, assignment rules, data integrity, duplicates, backups, security, and storage management.
  • Make recommendations for enhancements and modifications to improve system performance, efficiency, internal business process, and reporting.
  • Ensure effective tracking and logging of Salesforce support issues.
  • Collaborate with all levels of senior leadership to gain insights into key business processes and find opportunities for platform improvements. You’ll actively seek out opportunities for positive partnerships with other internal teams.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in custom software application development.
  • Ability to design, code, test, debug, package and deploy quality, scalable and well-documented solutions.
  • Strong background in design and development of enterprise systems.
  • Project management skills that lend to handling multiple concurrent projects, delivering on-time and within scope.
  • History of excelling in a fast-paced environment; SaaS environment preferred.
  • Ability to coach and mentor technical team members to facilitate learning and collaboration.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a collaborative work ethic.
  • Experience designing and developing custom applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, Triggers, and Workflows - Preferred.
  • Salesforce Certified Force.com Developer - Preferred.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator - Preferred.
