Role & Responsibilities
- Managing the sales engineer team responsible for supporting the sales organization
- Work closely with product owners to align on quarterly development planning
- Manage all sales originated feature requests
- Manage all sales originated custom engagements and the scoping process
- Responsible for maintaining Jira for the sales organization
- Oversee integration engagements with 3rd party solutions
- Provide on line demonstrations that encompass both core and custom solutions
- Work with sales management on all RFP responses to address technical responses
- Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and strategic planning
- Provide weekly product updates to the sales organization
- Oversee customer relationships around labs, pilots and unique engagements
- Maintain inventory on sales demonstration team across the sales team
- Work with marketing and sales management on trade show coordination
- Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop the sales engineering team
- Work cross functionally with product to understand initiatives and provide information on custom solutions being developed
- Work directly with customers to gather requirements and use cases
- Develop quality assurance standards and testing best practices
- Motivate the team to delivery high quality demonstrations that extend the capabilities of our core solutions
- Build / Refine playbooks and processes to allow for scale
- Conduct 1:1 sessions with each team member to help with skill and career development
- Project assignments and resource planning
- Identify skill gaps within team and create training plans to address the gaps
- Drive the organization towards best practices and technologies that best fit the customer requirements
- Understand the long-term business objectives and suggest technical strategies to meet those objectives by introducing innovation through technology
- Actively participate in the development process, as needed
- Work closely with product management, software development, quality assurance, sales, and the executive leadership team
- Partner with technical stakeholders to ensure that standards and governance are enforced across our technical footprint
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Must have experience with Android and IOS platforms
- Must have experience integrating systems across multiple tiers
- Comfortable communicating architecture to all levels of management and customers
- Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies and processes
- Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests in a complex and fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong leadership skills and experience successfully managing teams
- Work and communicate internally and with the customer at all levels, including engineers, end-users to C-suite
- Experience and understanding hybrid cloud solutions
- Efficient at using Jira and Confluence as part of a daily routine
- Effective in responding to RFP’s, creating ROI and Case Study documents
