RingDNA is searching for a DevOps Engineer to help improve our software build and delivery pipeline, as well as to architect and implement resilient scalable dev/QA systems. The ideal DevOps Engineer will have prior experience working with AWS in SaaS environments, as well as have a passion for cloud based solutions and have an automation-first mindset. They will work with Architecture and Engineering to plan, deploy, and maintain critical business solutions, securely and with maximum uptime.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with Architecture and Engineering teams to plan, deploy, and maintain business solutions in a cloud environment.
- Develop and maintain tools and services used to monitor system health, identify and resolve issues related to the health of our services.
- Develop and maintain deployment pipelines for software engineering teams.
- Provide insight and optimizations of how our systems are running to our engineering team to help improve team productivity.
Who You Are:
- Solid understanding of Unix/Linux, Systems infrastructure, Systems Automation.
- Strong experience with systems and application monitoring and alerting.
- 4-5 years of career experience including software development, systems administration, and cloud-based application management.
- 2-3 years of experience building and maintaining production systems within the AWS ecosystem using VPC, ECS, EC2, S3, ELB/ALB, IAM, Lambda and CloudWatch.
- Strong scripting experience with Python, sh/csh, or Ruby.
- Work Experience and/or AWS certification.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Expert level experience and passion for working with BSD/Unix and Linux OS’s.
- Experience with Unix/Linux administration tasks such as OS and network troubleshooting, performance tuning & security design patterns in a production environment.
- Experience with systems and infrastructure automation tools (e.g. Terraform, Packer, AWS CLI, Ansible, SaltStack, etc.)
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Experience with monitoring, metrics, and visualization tools (e.g Prometheus, Grafana, StatsD, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Experience with log aggregation strategies.
- Experience with CI/CD systems preferably Jenkins.
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL and MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDb, DynamoDB) database management.
- Familiarity with security best practices and auditing procedures.
- Effective collaboration and documentation skills.
- AWS Certification.
