We are looking for a top performing, hands on Mechanisms Engineer to lead the design, development and launch of vehicle’s electro-mechanical systems for the new vehicles we are bringing to market.

Responsibilities and Goals

  • Design and development of electro-mechanical systems including kinematics, joints and actuators
  • Development of alternative engineer solutions to support design themes
  • Working with cross-functional teams (Studio, Manufacturing, BIW, CIW) to develop efficient designs and leading the integration of interfacing components
  • Designing system to meet all performance and attribute targets for the vehicle
  • Supplier sourcing and management
  • Developing DFMEA, DVP&Rs and GD&T documentation
  • Managing deliverables for all program milestones
  • Support testing and launch activities

Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience or equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Automotive engineering experience
  • CAD Capability: 4+ years Catia V5/V6 experience
  • Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering
  • Experience designing in a variety of materials
  • Strong working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, including familiarity with GD&T and dimensional engineering.
  • Familiarity with the specifications, DFMEAs, DVP&R’s and other technical documents.

  • Has experience developing complex 3D CAD
  • Works well in a team environment and under pressure to develop optimal solutions
  • Has experience with electro-mechanical systems
