Design and develop state of the art Electronic Chassis Systems, and their interactions with Powertrain and ADAS, covering a variety of engineering tasks.

Responsibilities and Goals

  • Define and manage software and controls requirements for Chassis systems, through the design and validation phases
  • Collaborate with the Vehicle Dynamics team to ensure vehicle performance targets are met
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of software and relevant documentation
  • Maintain Design Verification Plan (DVP), support development of test cases and coordinate execution of verification tests throughout program milestones
  • Support the definition of Functional Safety deliverables and Failure Mode Analysis
  • Maintain system architecture and interfaces with ADAS and Powertrain, ensuring integration of Chassis systems with other Vehicle controllers, and compatibility with Network design
  • Support the definition of Diagnostic DTC’s, service routines, bootloader specifications
  • Provide technical inputs to the legal and homologation teams
  • Support vehicle activities including testing, data logging, and feature calibration
  • Conduct issue investigation

Qualifications/Experience

Required:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Electrical/Software/Controls Engineering or Equivalent
  •  4 or more years of Chassis Systems or Control Software Development experience
  •  Experience in Braking, Steering, and/or Suspension components and features
  •  Understanding of Vehicle Dynamics, ADAS systems, and Powertrain
  • System validation and HIL testing
  • Knowledge of Diagnostic DTC's and service routines
  • Experience with CAN-based tools and MS Office suite

Preferred:

      • Experience in architecture and requirements definition for safety critical redundant Chassis Systems
      • Calibration of Chassis systems (Stability Control, Steering, Braking or Suspension / Damping)
      • Simulink Modeling
      • Experience with Electric Powertrain Vehicles
      • Understanding of automotive homologation requirements
      • Knowledge of Functional Safety principles (ISO 26262) and Failure Mode Analysis
