FabFitFun is seeking an experienced QA Analyst to join our growing QA team in support of our Data and BI team. Our ideal candidate will have previous BI and Data integrity testing/validation experience.

What you’ll do:

• Develop standardized test plan methodology
• Design, develop and execute functional test cases that ensure the Data/BI reports meets intended requirements and quality standards
• Collaborate with Database and BI teams to convert requirements and design documents into a test plan containing an overview, collection of test cases and test scripts
• Document and create test cases and scripts created by BI team members to ensure that proper test coverage has been developed
• Work with Database and BI teams to ensure the necessary data is setup and available
• Build scripts for integrity testing, regression tests including both integration and user acceptance testing
• Develop test suite for Data and BI testing
• Create and Execute test scripts, and SQL queries across different data models
• Backend testing that will involve both database and business logic testing
• Research and identify methodologies and tools to improve the Data and BI testing process
• Maintain traceability matrix to ensure requirements to test cases delivery
• Strong business and process knowledge to ensure data reconciliation with source application and data products ( EDW, data lake etc..)
• Log and write clear defect reports.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in a business or technology related field or 5+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of experience with various Databases and backend testing methodologies such as; Data integrity validation, non-functional, functional, manual, load and regression testing
• Experience in both functional/black-box testing and white/grey-box testing
• Knowledge of software development life cycle, Agile, Scrum, Kanban methodologies
• Understanding of SQL database
• Experience with Data and BI/reporting tools (Looker, Tableau)
• Outstanding time management, prioritization, and independence as well as keen attention to detail
