Vyng is transforming how conversations start on mobile.  We’re adding a Senior Backend Developer to our incredible team.   Will own development for our backend services.  Projects will include building REST API’s in Node.js,  building admin tools in React, interfacing with external API’s, and maintaining server instances.  Our current infrastructure is deployed in Google Cloud as both App Engine services and Compute Engine instances.  Our databases are MongoDB, BigQuery, and Neo4j.

Our office is in Santa Monica, California, but our team is distributed across the globe.  The developer may work from anywhere but reliable high-speed internet for daily video conferencing is a requirement.  Fluent written and verbal English language is required.

Must: 
- Be expert in NodeJS, Express, and MongoDB.
- Be competent in React

- Be comfortable deploying and monitoring server instances in Google Cloud (App Engine and Compute Engine)
- Be an independent self-starter seeking innovation 
- Like to ship fantastic products 
- Like the fast pace at which we move 

Big plus if: 
- Experience with Python 
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) 
- Experience with XMPP
