We have a small, dedicated Engineering team with one of the highest ratios of users to engineers in the industry, making every member of the team critical to our success. We are looking for an Android engineer to grow our Engagement platform team and continue building our dynamic collaborative culture.

As an Android Engineer on the Tinder Engagement Platform team, you will:

• Build consumer facing features that reach millions of users globally
• Create new tools and features to leverage user retention
• Work closely with Backend and Web Engineers to deploy exciting new Tinder Engagement features
• Work with product team to design and wireframe modern interfaces

We're looking for:

• A strong Android Engineer who is well versed in design patterns. (eg. you've worked with MVP, Clean or MVVM and know the benefits of each. You've written your own Repositories and Factories.)
• Someone interested in Kotlin, who's using Retrolambda and know what's new in Java 8
• Understanding Material design guidelines, but are not a slave to it. (eg. you know how to be a good Android citizen while maintaining a strong unique brand identity.)
• Comfortable working with legacy code and improving it

Bonus points if you have:

• Understanding how backend services work
• Experience with building mobile applications handling high volume of traffic
