Diversified Botanics is a high-performance wellness company redefining what operational excellence looks like. We value speed, precision, and accountability—and we hire individuals who bring the same mindset to every shift. This is a culture for people who take pride in doing things well, at pace, and as part of a tight-knit team.

What You’ll Do

You’ll design and execute the email campaigns that power our customer engagement engine — writing persuasive, data-informed copy that builds trust, drives conversion, and strengthens brand loyalty.
Your primary focus will be creating, testing, and optimizing high-performing email campaigns that move customers from awareness to retention.

This role blends high-caliber copywriting with operational precision — managing lifecycle campaigns, automated flows, and newsletters that perform. You’ll translate our brand ethos into language that earns trust, deepens loyalty, and scales intelligently.

You will:

  • Write, edit, and publish email campaigns that perform — including newsletters, automated flows, and promotions.

  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to align messaging with launches, offers, and brand priorities.

  • Manage campaign setup, segmentation, and scheduling in our email platform (Klaviyo or equivalent).

  • Develop and maintain content calendars aligned to audience and lifecycle stages.

  • Test, analyze, and optimize email performance (open rates, CTRs, conversions).

  • Create marketing content that extends beyond email — from landing pages to storytelling pieces.

  • Ensure all copy reflects our tone: principled, exacting, grounded, and emotionally intelligent.

You’ll Thrive Here If You
  • Write with conviction and clarity — persuasive without pretense.

  • Think like an operator but speak like a storyteller.

  • Obsess over clean segmentation, message timing, and data integrity.

  • Treat brand voice as a discipline, not a style.

  • See marketing not as noise, but as a trust-building function.

  • Respect process but thrive on iteration.

You May Struggle Here If You
  • Rely on volume over precision.

  • Need heavy creative direction to find your voice.

  • Approach marketing as purely tactical rather than relational.

  • Avoid accountability for measurable outcomes.

What You Bring
  • 3–5 years of professional writing experience, with at least 2 years in email marketing or lifecycle communications.

  • Demonstrated mastery of persuasive writing across formats (email, landing pages, campaigns).

  • Proficiency with major email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, HubSpot, or similar).

  • Understanding of A/B testing, deliverability, and list management best practices.

  • A portfolio that shows range — from crisp conversion copy to long-form brand storytelling.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong grasp of grammar, tone, and syntax — and how to bend rules with purpose.

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end email campaigns.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in CPG, wellness, or science-backed product categories.

  • Familiarity with marketing automation, customer segmentation, and CRM data.

  • Strong understanding of ethical marketing principles and compliance standards.

What We Offer
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • 401(k) with employer match.

  • Paid time off and company holidays.

  • Professional development support and growth opportunities within a scaling, high-performance company.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
