About The Role:
The purpose of the Driver Manager Assistant is to provide continued support in the Long Beach yard after hours. This position will provide support efforts in regular business activities with driver management, yard management, safety and fleet support.
Job Interaction and Interface:
Internally this position will interact regularly with asset drivers, security personnel, dispatchers, management and human resources. Externally this position will interact with owner operators, outside service vendors for repairs and on-site contractors.
General Responsibilities:
- Receive and issue to drivers (keys, phones, paperwork)
- Coordinate vendor service calls on and off site (dvir, tire issues, breakdowns, etc.)
- Oversee Yard Hostler operations
- Update data in appropriate dashboards
- Yard Status
- Driver Attendance
- Fleet Utilization
- DVIR review and report to Driver Manager discrepancies
- Creation of spreadsheets and other documents for trending
- Filter questions to the Driver Managers: Ulti-pro, Attendance
HR functions:
- Assist in driver onboarding and orientation
- Errors and exceptions Report
- Attendance line updates, calling off drivers when needed
- Time sheet reconciliation and updates
- Ensure all required documents are posted and up to date
