Regional Director of Sales, The Carolinas

SI-BONE® is focused on helping patients in one of the most under-served, under-diagnosed, and under-treated areas in orthopedics, the sacroiliac (SI) joint. SI-BONE developed an innovative, patented implant to fuse the SI joint. The iFuse Implant System® provides a less invasive alternative to traditional sacroiliac (SI) joint fusion surgery and has been used in over 90,000 procedures to date.

General Responsibilities: 

  • Report to the Area VP of Sales
  • Sell products by managing and expanding customer base and identifying new customer opportunities
  • Manage all Territory Managers and Territory Associates in their assigned region
  • Provide positive mentoring to ensure that company goals and objectives are achieved
  • Establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for their assigned region in support of national objectives
  • Meet with key leaders in spine to drive company business and acceptance of SIJ diagnosis and treatment
  • Drive revenue to meet company objectives in a cost-effective manner with a focus on budget management
  • Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with all applicable worldwide regulatory requirements as included in the scope of the SI-BONE Quality Manual
  • The employee must at all times act and conduct company business in an honest, ethical and strictly legal manner, complying with the Code of Conduct, other company policies, the AdvaMed Code and all applicable laws and regulations, whether national, regional, state or local. This employee is encouraged, expected, and required to report any suspected violations of laws, regulations, the Code or any other Company policy, and all other suspected unethical behavior. The company does not tolerate retaliation in connection with making good faith reports of suspected violations

Specific Responsibilities:           

  • Establish rapport and a solid working relationship with all corporate and field employees
  • Develop plans that detail how the regional team members can meet/exceed sales goals and quotas
  • Work closely with senior management to align priorities and create a sense of urgency to ensure successful endpoints are achieved and timelines are met
  • Execute and refine the selling strategy in their assigned region
  • Develop rapport with key leaders in the spine field
  • Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations for strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change
  • Foster a positive team environment with a focus on coaching and development of all direct reports
  • Responsible for management of implant shelf life and instrument sets provided to them. Damaged or expired product to be returned to SI-BONE, Inc
  • Prepare demonstrations and present products representing the company at trade shows
  • Monitor and evaluate the competition and suggest new products that will help expand the company’s business
  • In the event of potential non-compliance with applicable standards or regulations (e.g. FDA QSRs, ISO 13485 or ISO 14971), the employee has the authority to hold any product or Quality documentation from shipment or further processing. The employee has the responsibility and authority to report any instances to Quality and/or Regulatory and his respective management team
  • Support the SI-BONE Quality System

Knowledge, Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Management with focus in Sales and Marketing
  • Experience in orthopedics is highly desired. Spine experience also a plus
  • Experience working with independent surgical dealerships

Expertise:

  • Currently or recently served in sales management of a high-growth, medical device organization whose products are marketed to a medical specialty practice and worked in that capacity for a minimum of 5 years
  • High level of interpersonal skills: influencing, resolving conflict, and creative problem solving.  Must be an excellent communicator using all available channels
  • Ability to make effective presentations to cross functional areas of the company, and to outside healthcare professionals
  • A history of successfully managing relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Possess a consistent career history of strong, effective mentoring and team building
  • A results-oriented team member, skilled in working with outside healthcare professionals
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and complete projects
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and apply creative solutions to challenges
  • Possess a high level of energy and collaborative management style
  • Strong customer focus
  • Available to travel extensively
  • Knowledge and familiarity of applicable regulations/standards (e.g. ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820, EU MDR 2017/745, ISO 14971) as required to perform the job function
