The Opportunity
We are looking for a passionate leader to join the Marketing Operations & Production leadership team as the new Director, Marketing Program Management. This leader is responsible for managing a portfolio of Marketing technology and innovation programs across the broader Marketing organization. In this highly collaborative role, you will lead a team of Program Managers and drive the broad alignment, prioritization, and resource planning for all marketing technology and workflow transformation projects. This role ensures organizational-wide systems and processes are streamlined for efficiency and scale, leading global change management initiatives, executive-level communication, and serving as a key thought partner to global and regional Marketing leadership.

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Operations & Production - UCAN, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Program Management team that drives technology solutions across the broader Marketing organization. You will be responsible for driving MarTech adoption and process standardization at scale, expanding existing capabilities, leading operational innovation, and managing a high-performance team.

You are an inspiring and inclusive leader, with experience developing and coaching teams towards shared common goals. You are adept at leading through influence and exercise good judgment, especially in the face of ambiguity, providing context, not control. You are nimble and thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires you to bridge competing priorities among stakeholders and simplify complexity. If you are someone who has a passion for both art (creativity/brand) and science (technology/data), who thrives in creating and championing operational workflows backed by data - then this is the role for you!

  • Operational Strategist.  You set the strategic vision for the entire Program Management portfolio, ensuring alignment across our broader Marketing business goals and initiatives. You anticipate potential collisions, sequence work, and simplify complex business challenges to focus the team on high-impact outcomes. You routinely distill complex discussions into clear, actionable decisions to enable teams to move quickly & confidently.

  • Data Fluency. You champion the strategic vision for data governance and the overall reporting infrastructure required to deliver reliable, actionable marketing insights. You ensure solutions are scalable and integrated into the long-term data pipeline, and you champion the successful maintenance and use of performance measurement tools

  • Culture Building. Be a strong culture role model, leading by example in alignment with our principles of Inclusion, Selflessness, Informed Captaincy and Context, Not Control, giving individual collaborators space and support to thrive at Netflix

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
