HopSkipDrive is a mission-driven company that makes life easier for busy families by getting kids where they need to go safely and dependably. We match families with highly-vetted CareDrivers, who have a minimum of 5 years of childcare experience and must pass a mom-approved, rigorous 15-point certification process, which includes extensive background checks, fingerprinting, DMV checks, driver training, and meeting every single driver in person.

We were founded by 3 working moms who have 8 kids among them and who developed HopSkipDrive as a solution to their own problems getting kids where they needed to go.  We are a VC-backed company with investment and involvement from nearly every major LA investor including Upfront Ventures, Greycroft and Pritzker, with more than $20M in funding.

You will be the driving force behind developing and executing the marketing strategies for the business. At its core, this is a true marketing generalist leadership position – Although, key areas of focus are: digital marketing, content, product marketing, channel marketing, lead generation and reporting. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to hit often-overlapping deadlines to grow both sides of the business simultaneously.

Your primary responsibility is to partner and collaborate with team members and consultants across the organization to understand their strategic drivers, key objectives, business needs and priorities. You will have ownership of the department’s planning, processes, infrastructure, research and analysis, performance management, and budget.

You will have the necessary leadership skills and strategic thinking to develop a high performing marketing organization focused on operational excellence, community building, marketing governance and accountability. This position will report to the Vice President of Growth.

Your Primary Responsibilities 

  • Oversee B2C & B2B content marketing such as emails, blogs, whitepapers, case studies, product-related site content, data sheets, videos, etc. that support both lead gen and retention efforts by working with internal and external stakeholders. Some light copywriting required.
  • Support product launch plans that grow awareness of new products and functionalities to leads and prospects. Work with the product team to gather information about new products in order to build out and execute cross-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Execute integrated marketing campaigns utilizing digital and offline channels, marketing automation, Google Tag Manager and proper tracking techniques to increase lead generation and conversion rates. Work with product, sales and other internal teams, as well as outsourced partners to execute on plans.
  • Survey customers and prospects to understand market needs, customer satisfaction and competitive landscape.
  • Own and manage marketing processes, tools and technology to support marketing functions; develops business processes and workflows to maximize organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop Marketing KPI’s, standardized operational reports and dashboards to provide visibility into the business, lead-to-sales conversion rates, campaign ROI, pipeline contribution, trends and other business intelligence.  Experience with Tableau or Mode a plus.
  • Own acquisition marketing budget, manage forecasting and operational activities.

Your Qualifications

  • Marketing leader with 10+ years of marketing experience with expertise in B2C acquisition marketing and/or life-cycle marketing. Experience with B2B marketing a plus.  
  • Expertise across the entire marketing mix with focus on digital channels
  • Experience with Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, and Marketing Automation platforms (Hubspot, Marketo, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Results focused and adept at driving KPI's
  • Extremely comfortable (and thrive) in an entrepreneurial, start-up environment
  • High on passion and low on ego at work
