Job Description:

The successful candidate is responsible for managing the Dynamics 365 ERP landscape and leading a team of solution architects and solution analysts. You will own the overall ERP landscape architecture with the goal of ensuring that the business and engineering applications deliver the required business capabilities. You will collaborate closely with business / engineering leaders and team members, IT solution architects and analysts, and key partners to develop and execute on a strategic roadmap and portfolio of projects that optimize business processes and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the ERP landscape.

A Director of Enterprise Business Application should possess a combination of technical and interpersonal skills, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O), Dynamic Customer Engagement, Bluestar PLM, proficiency in various Independent Software Vendor, experience with integration technologies, familiarity with cloud platforms, strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a critical thinker, a problem solver, and can quickly build working relationships with diverse stakeholders in our organization.

Job Salary Range

The approximate pay range for this position is $147,000.00- $220,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): 

  • Lead the Dynamic 365 applications strategy, design, and implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives,
  • Manage and mentor a team of solution architects and analysts.
  • Collaborate with business platforms to assess needs and optimize business processes through technology and translate them into robust solutions.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic insights and recommendations on technology improvement.
  • Introduces innovative, differentiating enterprise business architecture services that maximize the value of technology investments.
  • Assesses emerging technologies for applicability to business objectives, leading proof-of-concept projects, and identifying design opportunities for automation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and challenges in the implementation and maintenance of business applications.
  • Ensure the continued growth and scalability of business applications to support future business needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and related technologies.
  • Ensuring that the application solutions align with the overall architecture and adhere to best practices and standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Staying up to date with the latest developments in Dynamic 365 applications and related technologies.

Required Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related study, master’s degree is a plus
  • 10+ years of ERP, CRM, PLM application experience.
  • Demonstrating though leader-level abilities as a Functional solutions Architect
  • Serving as global point of contact on application design
  • Supervision of the creation of functional specifications and design documents
  • Conduct joint application design workshops
  • Dynamics Finance and Operation or Dynamics AX 2012, Dynamics CRM certification is a plus.
  • Experience with all stages (SDLC) of software development cycle.
  • Experience managing vendor relations (Implementation and Consulting partners)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Track record of successful driving change, managing competing priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineer-to-order / configure-to-order manufacturing, project-based shop floor control processes, supply chain, and field service, preferably within an OEM machine builder.
  • Must have experience at managing a direct team and working within a matrix structure, with a strong ability to collaborate with internal IT stakeholders when managing priorities and project demands.
  • A proven track record of attracting and developing staff to ensure skills are kept current in line with the lifecycle of the enterprise systems.
  • Must have experience in managing change control and quality assurance for applications development in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience working with external software vendors and resource providers, service level agreements and a proven ability to hold vendors to account (quality, deliverables, dates, and costs).
  • Experience supporting new software selection and onboarding new system capabilities.
  • Commercial governance of the team budget and investment cycle.
  • Must be able to coordinate programs across multiple teams and multiple technical towers.

Supervisory responsibilities of 6 to 10 team members

Work Environment:

Work is typically performed in a standard office setting.  This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility.  Although the employee may spend a portion of his/her time in the office area, the employee’s essential job duties also require the employee to spend a portion of his/her time in the manufacturing area.  The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.

Position Type:

This is a regular, full-time position with the understanding that a regular workweek will require extended days and hours as needed to meet business needs.

Travel:

25% of domestic and/or global travel may be required for this position.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of the those performed in the job duties.  The employee sits at a desk and uses a computer for prolonged periods of time.  Performing the role frequently uses close vision, speech, hearing, and dexterity to operate office equipment.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
