What You'll Do:

  • Manage and direct the core operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
  • Perform all aspects of General Accounting and Financial Reporting functions and financial area including general ledger, payroll, inventory, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Lead global consolidation of the Munchkin's operations and financial performance in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and financial operating effectiveness of the organization
  • Ensure the monthly, quarterly, and annual external financial reporting and filings are completed on a timely basis and in accordance with GAAP
  • Work closely with subsidiaries to identify local risks and understand statutory requirements for reporting
  • Work closely with external auditors during year-end audit including timely preparation of annual audit requests and any subsequent questions that may arise
  • Work closely with the CAO to define the path for transitioning accounting function to IPO readiness
  • Design and maintain a strong, consistent control environment with responsibility for SOX oversight, ensuring controls are properly designed for effectiveness and sustainability, are documented, and are appropriately tested
  • Design and implement the proper financial controls, procedures, and systems to comply with internal and external control measurements
  • Lead enterprise expertise with respect to changes to the GAAP Accounting policy and guidance that impacts domestic and global financial teams
  • Maintain best practice system process and procedures with current Oracle ERP and future accounting system maintenance as Company grows
  • Support the build out of Accounting department to ensure team executes on timely financial reporting and FP&A department delivers digestible and bite size data points for operations to execute on
  • Provide training and mentorship to new and existing team members
  • Other duties may be assigned


Bring It!

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university (Accounting Major)
  • 15+ years of robust Corporate Accounting and financial management experience
  • Significant experience coming from CPG
  • Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in accounting/finance
  • CPA license is required
  • Public accounting experience is required
  • IPO and SEC reporting experience are strongly preferred
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle or equivalent ERP software
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel; strong system and data mindset
  • Proven ability to lead an organization and manage people; an effective "people leader" who demonstrates empathy, compassion, and cooperation
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate in a high-energy, fast paced environment
  • Excellent time and project management skills
