About the Role
We are seeking a talented and driven DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team at Quilt Software. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving our multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. You’ll work closely with senior DevOps engineers, software developers, and product managers to ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and efficient.
Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure: Support infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices and automation tools.
Ensure system performance and uptime: Use monitoring tools like Prometheus, Datadog, or CloudWatch to detect and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and business continuity.
Support CI/CD workflows: Help build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, with automated testing and deployment stages.
Implement security best practices: Apply industry security standards such as IAM policies, encryption, and firewall rules across cloud environments.
Automate routine tasks: Write scripts in Python or Bash to streamline operations, automate deployments, and manage infrastructure resources.
Collaborate across teams: Work with developers and operations staff to improve deployment processes and infrastructure reliability.
Assist in cost management: Monitor cloud usage and assist in implementing cost-saving practices like resource tagging, rightsizing, and automated shutdowns.
3-5 years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles, managing production environments.
Proficiency with cloud platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
Experience with DevOps tooling: Familiarity with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and configuration management tools like Ansible.
Scripting and automation skills: Solid experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages.
CI/CD familiarity: Ability to maintain and troubleshoot continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
Understanding of cloud security principles: Including IAM, VPCs, encryption, and general best practices.
Linux system administration: Proficient in maintaining and securing Linux-based environments.
Basic Windows experience: Understanding of PowerShell and Windows Server administration is a plus.
Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, or Google Associate Cloud Engineer.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
Exposure to regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or e-commerce is a plus.
