User Researcher at Snap Inc.

We’re looking for a User Researcher to join Snap Inc! Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll help us identify unique issues in a wide variety of fields. Working closely with the Design, UX, Strategy, and Engineering teams, you will help craft and carry out studies that highlight solutions for product development and emerging technologies.
What you'll do:
Working closely with our Design and Product Experience teams, you’ll lead both hardware and software Usability and User Research studies
Design and conduct reliable research that employs best practice methods such as ergonomic studies, usability studies, ethnographic research, user interviews, and needs and satisfaction surveys
Determine the type of study most appropriate to target desired information
Recruit and schedule study participants
Translate goals into research questions and develop research plans
Identify user pain points and suggest measurable actions to address them while achieving business objectives
Perform data analysis and present findings in both written and verbal formats to a range of cross-disciplinary stakeholders
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in UX Design, industrial design, human-computer Interaction, cognitive psychology, or similar
6+ years of experience in conducting User Experience Research
Experience managing small teams is a plus
Experience working with and conducting research on both software usability and hardware ergonomics
Ability to work autonomously and think outside-of-the-box to create novel user studies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company
Experience designing both qualitative and quantitative research studies, analyzing results and creating reports with actionable product and design insights
Solid understanding of UX Research methods with the ability to articulate study design to stakeholders
Previous experience working with PM, Design, and Engineering leads
Experience working within the mobile application field
Familiarity with MS Office, Asana, Jira and LucidChart along with prototyping tools
