We are looking for a Senior Visual Designer with up-to-date knowledge to interpret our internal department needs and to design solutions with high visual impact. You will work on a variety of aspects of the OpenX brand including, event branding, marketing collateral, product illustrations, internal corporate branding, website, presentations, display ads, print ads, swag, social media, video storyboarding, email templates, infographics, and direct mail. You will be working with Creative, Events Marketing, Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, and other internal business teams to execute creative, design, and branding that aligns with overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with internal departments or the Creative Director to determine the scope of a project
• Advise departments on strategies to reach a particular audience
• Create images that identify a product or convey a message
• Develop visuals for product illustrations, logos, landing pages, social media
• Select images, text style, and layout
• Present the design to internal departments or the Creative Director
• Incorporate changes recommended by internal departments into the final design
• Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them
• For some projects provide Creative/Art Direction as needed
• Translate concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite complexity
• Vocalize opinions and ideas to internal departments and project owners
• Can produce animation/motion solutions
• Maintain brand consistency throughout all projects

Requirements

• A minimum of 5-7 years proven design experience at an Agency, Tech Co, or Brand
• Agency, Corporate, Brand or Tech experience is a plus but not required
• Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
• Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
• Expert knowledge with industry leading software and technologies Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, InVision, etc.)
• Highly proficient in all design aspects
• Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines
• Knowledge of WordPress is a plus but not required
• Attention to detail, commitment to high-quality design, and passionate about excellence
• Must be proactive and innovative
• Demonstrable skills in illustration, photography, and iconography are an advantage
• Good task management skills
• Takes ownership and responsibility for their work
• A self starter who identifies opportunities and potential problems
• Able to communicate in a clear, consistent, and transparent manner
• Possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, layout, and typography, a broad thinker who is able to offer variety of design solutions.
