CareerArc is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Senior UX Designer to create amazing web and mobile user experiences for both B2B and B2C products. The ideal candidate has user-centric design experience at a technology company, excels at innovating, and is comfortable working with product, engineering, marketing, sales, and client success. The Senior UX Designer will report to CareerArc’s VP of Product and will contribute across all the company’s product lines with a balance of creativity, technological understanding, and business savvy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create user-centric product experiences through workflows, wireframes, and production-ready designs
  • Understand and translate client needs into detailed designs and prototypes
  • Attend daily/weekly product development meetings
  • Obtain client, customer care, and sales feedback on existing and new designs through surveys, interviews, and demonstrations
  • Facilitate user research through interviews, persona-building, usability testing, and focus groups
  • Collaborate with marketing and training teams on materials for new product launches
  • Leverage user behavior and product analytics to guide and iterate on designs

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a web UX design role
  • Design portfolio with examples demonstrating a proven track record in designing and launching UX for web applications
  • BA degree in an art or design related field; MA preferred
  • Experience with SaaS B2B platforms and mobile apps preferred but not required

 Key Competencies

  • Passionate about the internet and emerging web technologies with an understanding of the most recent trends in consumer and enterprise web usage
  • Able to translate business and functional requirements into user experiences
  • Expertise in the creative development process with demonstrated attention to detail
  • Deep knowledge of web functionality, including navigation, interactions, and usability
  • Ability to work in an agile, collaborative development environment in which feedback loops between are open and constant
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as an understanding of emerging technologies and design trends
  • Able to interact with both technical and non-technical people
  • Receptive to feedback with a willingness to learn and iterate
  • Interpersonal skills to both work within an established team and function independently
  • Proficient in Balsamiq (or equivalent wireframing tool) and Photoshop. Analysis software experience (such as Pendo) optional but preferred.
