The design team is comprised of four distinct pillars (research, experience design, operations, and design systems/platform) The design platform team is integral to the success of all our initiatives and spans content, illustration, design library, ui components, color, type, etc. In short, the components required to create a meaningful, beautiful, stateful experience.

What You'll Do:

• Design systems and patterns that will allow product designers and front-end engineers to focus on product-level problems and ship high-quality work efficiently and consistently
• Establish beautiful, expressive, and intuitive visual, motion, and interaction design elements, principles, and patterns
• Provide guidelines and documentation that connects and resonates with the teams using our design systems 
• Work cross-functionally to drive the adoption of guidelines with stakeholders and manage outliers
• Work with Product Designers and Software Engineers to develop and ship the system
• Write documentation and guidance on how and why components, styles, and patterns are applied in code and design.
• Be the design ambassador; Articulate design decisions to product design, brand design, engineering and product.

What You'll Need:

• 3+ years product design experience in financial services or other relevant consumer product design domain
• 1+ years design systems specific experience
• Practical experience shipping real products that solve real problems for real people
• Expertise with Figma, Sketch, Principle, Flinto, inVision, etc.
• A strong portfolio of product design and design systems work, including designs that showcase both an ability to think in scalable systems, and a solid understanding of key graphic design principles (hierarchy/layout, color, and typography)
• Experience creating new visual directions, including color theory and typography, and ensuring they’re carried out consistently
• Ability to think in scalable systems
• Strong communication skills with cross-departmental teammates such as engineering and data analysis
• A desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
