We’re looking for a Lead Creative, Copy to join the internal creative agency at Snap Inc! As a member of the Marketing team, you will manage a team of copywriters, as well as work on any and all marketing needs across the various aspects of the company. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional creative marketing partners to design and write intelligent, logical flows for communicating information — be that in a marketing site about our ad products, sizzles that showcase our offerings, business narratives used across the company, and more.
What you’ll do:
Manage a team of copywriters and allocate bandwidth/projects for the team
Own and drive the completion of creative projects by working alongside designers, art directors, creatives, etc.
Review and edit copy, as well as contribute to higher-level creative reviews
Work alongside senior team members to shape the direction of the creative team
Proactively suggest fun, interesting, and impactful creative opportunities outside the scope of assigned projects
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
A master of colloquial language, breaking things down, and explaining what things mean
A strong perspective on what makes a great user experience — in an app, a book, or an appliance. Everything we create, from decks to billboards, is a product!
Experience crafting brand voice, tone, and style guides ensuring consistent language across multiple touchpoints
Ability to clearly communicate concepts through mocks and decks when pitching work to stakeholders and directors
Ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines and changing priorities
A strong perspective and understanding of what makes good art direction and design
8+ years professional copywriting/creative experience
2+ years of experience managing creatives and copywriters
Experience managing copywriters from a resourcing/bandwidth allocation perspective
Experience working on integrated campaigns spanning digital, video, OOH, print, and social
Experience working in both ad agencies and in-house marketing/creative teams
A strong portfolio showcasing your work across multiple formats
