Title: Jr Digital Designer (Temp/Part-Time)
Grindr has an opportunity for an ambitious and creative individual to join our organization as a Jr. Digital Designer with our Product Marketing team. This position will be part of Grindr’s “Future Voices” program.

This is a unique and exciting program that provides highly motivated and aspiring candidates with diverse backgrounds an opportunity to work in tech. This is a paid, part-time that lasts up to 12 weeks.
The candidate can expect:

- An assigned mentor who will provide performance evaluations and coaching
- A thorough opportunity to work and partner on projects and assignments that will help build their career experience
- Ownership of a capstone project that will be a tangible asset to add to a portfolio
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing creative concepts and campaigns to align with the overall brand strategy and marketing calendar.
- Maintain brand guidelines and ensure design execution aligns with brand vision across projects.
- Produce compelling static and flash banner ads, graphics, print collateral, merchandise, and more.
- Design in-app messaging (banner, pop-up, interstitial), and overlays within a mobile app experience.
- Assist in designing digital content such as web assets, social media, online advertising.
- Work in a collaborative environment and take direction in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Basic understanding with Adobe in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Google Slides
- Basic understanding of brand guidelines, typography, layout, color theory, clean/minimal design aesthetic.
- Organizational skills to assist in facilitating multiple projects in a timely manner, as well as, ability to juggle small priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Sense of being an advocate for social justice and inclusivity.
- Constantly curious, creative and analytical. Believe that data-driven design drives good business results.
- Sleeves rolled up attitude, great communication skills plus an ability to work cross-functionally with ease while presenting ideas clearly/concisely and effectively.
Nice-to-haves
- HTML and CSS, responsive email design for mobile and familiarity with prototyping and animation tools are desirable but not required.
- Working knowledge of Sketch, After Effects, Keynote, slack, asana is a plus.
