About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of Design, Brand & Creative to help lead the next generation of our brand design. You will set the design vision and practices and elevate the craft and excellence of our design across the creative department. The ideal candidate will be conceptual, strategic and foster an environment of collaboration between designers and creative, marketing and product teams. You will have a broad range of hands-on experience from identity systems to digital campaigns to traditional content designs. A strong sense of exploration and experimentation across a variety of mediums is a must. You will also be a leader that can inspire great design thinking and establish a clear culture, attracting the best design talent and delivering amazing customer experiences through advertising and communications.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and establish practices for best-in-class, customer first design solutions across a range of advertising, communications and product-focused initiatives.
- Help establish and ensure that GoodRx’s brand design system is successfully implemented across projects, helping to maintain consistency across all channels.
- Take ownership of visual identity and design systems across brand content, digital platforms, motion assets, packaging designs, print and collateral, among other projects.
- Manage highly visible projects and be able to strategically present and get buy-in from leadership.
- Actively oversee, lead and build out a team of strategic and craft-focused designers by hiring the best talent in the industry, mentoring them, and developing their skills.
- Set the bar high and get there fast without sacrificing quality for speed and effectiveness.
- Roll up your sleeves and get into the details when needed, while also knowing when to lead and when to help.
- Be both a leader for the team and a thought leader to stakeholders and collaborators from design excellence and customer UX standpoint.
- Help bring in and oversee agency partners and freelancers to make the work great.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across marketing, brand, strategy and product.
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of high profile experience in brand design and product experiences.
- A design portfolio that demonstrates the ability to deliver best-in-class visual systems and design solutions across media and platforms for design-focused brands.
- Deep experience building high-performing design practices and ability to develop design leaders who are responsible for guiding design projects at scale.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
- A hands-on leader that actively designs.
- A passion for current design trends coupled with a deep understanding of user experience.
- Excellent presentation skills and communication abilities, whether the audience is cross functional teams or leadership.
- A solid understanding of how creativity can achieve business objectives while still meeting and encouraging brand standards for aesthetic and communication quality.
- Experience balancing process and productivity with creative explorations. Emphasis on early prototyping and learning.
- Optimism and excitement for your work, a love for the next big challenge, and a passion for business impact.
- Can collaborate with team members at all levels to ensure projects are effective and meet brand guidelines, compliance and overall project goals.
