AppOnboard is looking for a Game Designer / Analyst to join our Creative team here at our Los Angeles headquarters. You'll lead the charge when brainstorming and story-boarding new demos. Additionally in this data-heavy role you'll analyze our existing inventory of playable demos to refine them to deliver a better, more fun experience to users. AppOnboard is a next-gen platform that powers Full-Fidelity Demos, which allow users to instantly experience an app or game in the highest quality possible before downloading it. AppOnboard enables app and game testing, driving insights to product teams and optimizing app launches and onboarding. The company was founded in late 2016 by Jonathan Zweig, the founding CEO of AdColony (which sold to Opera Software for $350 million).

Job Details:

• Work with the team to brainstorm and mold all creatives being produced

• Leverage our internal data network to help form best practices

• Organize A/B testing of units to test your theories, validate your data, and drive up content quality.

• Support the team's vision for great storytelling 

Requirements

• A lifelong passionate gamer

• 1-2+ years in mobile game design with at least 1 shipped title

• Creativity and an understanding of game mechanics

• Knowledge of game-design (e.g. flow/pacing & game/story balance)

• In-depth understanding of mobile games and their audiences

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Team Player

The following is a plus:

• Game related Advertising / Marketing experience

• Coding knowledge and/or some amount of technical experience
