As the Executive Creative Director (focused on brand, creative, and storytelling) will assemble and lead a world-class brand team capable of delivering iconic creative marketing to further grow the brand, disrupt the financial industry, and make Dave a household name. This person will create and deliver industry-leading and impactful work across all advertising and marketing touch points at Dave. 


In this role, you will work with Product, Product Marketing, Design, UXR, external agency partners and others to develop groundbreaking creative content and brand work on behalf of the Dave Marketing team, while ensuring a consistent tone and identity across all touch points. 


The ideal candidate has a strong background in brand positioning, creative direction (client-side or agency) and copywriting, and is a highly strategic thinker with a proven track record for leading efforts to execute across digital, social, web, OOH and other mediums. 

What you'll do:

  • Develop big, cut through marketing ideas that achieve results in broadcast, digital, OOH, print, experiential, email and performance
  • Produce and deliver work with an unrelenting attention to craft and detail 
  • Create and contribute to development of new product ideas that allow customers to save, earn, and improve their financial situation
  • Hire, lead, mentor and manage creative teams to achieve their fullest potential
  • Lead and manage both in-house, freelance, and external teams in creative strategy, execution and production
  • Apply and maintain consistency with tone and creative across all brand products and platforms
  • Collaborate with a variety of cross-functional teams to serve a global audience

What you'll need:

  • 15 years of relevant experience, including 10 years of management experience with increasing responsibility
  • A proven ability to write for all marketing deliverables including film, broadcast, social, print, digital, and performance
  • Experience delivering strategic, big ideas for digital and consumer productsTrack record of creating and directing conceptual campaigns, oversee copy, advertising art direction, brand design, and production.
  • Proficiency working in a cross-functional environment in collaboration with product leads and various business unit leads
  • Experience managing a high volume of creative and campaigns in parallel
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
