PlayVS is building the infrastructure and official platform for high school and college esports. We work with game publishers, high school governing bodies and collegiate programs to build and operate sanctioned leagues across the country. Our software products tie everything together, creating the world’s first full-stack sports platform. PlayVS is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and is rapidly expanding.

 

We are seeking a Growth Designer to concept and design creative around lifecycle emails, paid social, and web marketing. You will partner with the Creative Lead and CRM team to develop creatives and translate marketing strategies into effective, high-performing campaigns that effectively engage targeted audiences, drive consumer acquisition, and maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work across the PlayVS organization — Product, Brand/Content and Growth Marketing (Performance Marketing and Lifecycle), Ops, and Customer Service — to drive subscriber growth, engagement, and retention by focusing on high impact product feature launches and key company initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Creative Lead to bring promotional stories and concepts to life
  • Execute assets as prescribed by creative/marketing briefs across social organic and paid digital media.
  • Collaborate with copywriters to artfully build innovative solutions to address specific project objectives
  • Stay up-to-date with cultural, design, and business trends across all major social channels

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of design experience at a startup, creative agency, or similar environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Passion for content creation—design, GIFs, video, photography, animation
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately within all required aspects of the Adobe Creative Design Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Basic motion design skills (Adobe After Effects) and knowledge of export settings for animations
  • A combination of analytical and creative skills: you're able to dive into performance data to infer a customer insight and ability to come up with scratch copy ideas in place of Lorem Ipsum
  • Understanding of today's media landscape and how people engage with advertising
  • Strong work ethic—goes the extra mile with concept variations without being asked
  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage and work independently, under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple projects
