CAD Administrator and Designer at Relativity Space

We are looking for a CAD Administrator to help us achieve our ambitious goal of launching a 3D printed rocket. You will report directly to the Director of Vehicle Engineering.
The Mission/Outcomes and Objectives:
To support our mission of changing people’s conception of the way rockets are built and flown, you will help the company navigate a transition from Creo and Windchill to NX and Teamcenter. You will also be providing design support for our engineering teams as we release designs for first flight.
A key outcome in this role is the completion of full engineering CAD Packages, bill of materials, and drawings for all vehicle components.
In order to be successful in this role, you should be someone who thrives in ambiguity and is able to lead their own projects into completion. Ideally, you are someone who has come from a fast paced, aerospace environment, having completed difficult projects while collaborating effectively with other key groups.
On a day to day, you will be working within our CAD and PLM programs, NX and Teamcenter, managing workflows, creating new features, and providing a resource for engineers managing large and complex assemblies (1000+ components). You should be an expert in mechanical design standards and best practices in order to be successful in this role.
Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:
- 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
- Extensive experience administering a CAD and PLM program
- Expertise of mechanical design standards
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- 10+ years of industry experience with an advanced degree
- Experience with design for additive manufacturing
- Extensive experience in NX/Teamcenter and Creo/Windchill
- Simple structural analysis abilities
