Role Overview & Summary

At Socure, we are on a mission to be the world’s leading platform for digital identity verification and fraud prevention. We are looking for a Design Engineer (Product & UX) who will bridge design thinking with front-end engineering to deliver seamless, accessible, and performant user experiences across our products.

In this role, you will help define and shape the way customers interact with Socure’s RiskOS platform, ensuring that complex workflows are simplified into intuitive, human-centered experiences. This position sits at the intersection of design and technology, blending creative problem-solving with technical implementation to create high-impact solutions in a fast-moving fintech/SaaS environment. Based in the Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain scalable design systems and component libraries aligned with Socure’s branding and product needs.

  • Create high-fidelity prototypes, mockups, and proofs-of-concept using tools such as Figma, Cusor, Claude Code, Copilot or whatever makes you more efficient

  • Translate UX/UI designs into interactive front-end components that meet performance and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 3.0).

  • Conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and iteratively optimize user flows and interactions.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, Product UX/UI designers, developers, and data scientists to ensure seamless integration from design through deployment.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Human–Computer Interaction, Design, Engineering, or related field.

  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience in UX engineering, product design engineering, or hybrid design/engineering roles.

  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, React or similar frameworks).

  • Strong skills with UX tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Figma, v0.

  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards, responsive design, and usability testing best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in fintech, SaaS, or digital identity product environments.

  • Familiarity with design systems and theme token architecture.

  • Exposure to AI assisted design or design-to-code automation tools.

  • Background in user research, A/B testing, or data driven design optimization.
