MomentFeed is a digital marketing platform that connects brands and consumers at the local level. The platform empowers major brands including, Starbuck's, Jersey Mike's, Mercedes, and Sprint Wireless to capture local audiences, engage with consumers in authentic and locally relevant ways, and measure campaign performance down to the point of sale. MomentFeed helps marketers succeed in the mobile era by unifying Facebook, Foursquare, Google, Instagram, Twitter, and Yelp for efficient management across business locations. 

As a Database Administrator, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for building the MomentFeed application suite. Our ideal candidate will bring solid skills in MongoDB and Postgres database technologies educating the team on using these open source technologies while incorporating them into the infrastructure. Your top priority is ensuring that they remain stable, reliable, and recoverable as the database platform and applications evolve.

You will also have the skills to create custom reports, as well as, help create and support a new reporting and analytics offering for the company. 

Responsibilities:

• Configure and monitor MongoDB and Postgres instances 
• Tune and maintain database performance 
• Actively participate in the design, development, and maintenance of a renewed reporting and analytics reporting product
• Maintain database backups and test recoverability regularly
• Solve production problems and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation
• Diagnose an debug issues in a production environment
• Collaborate with product management, account management, and other developers in an open, creative environment

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3 - 5 years experience as a database administrator and/or engineer
• Strong knowledge of MongoDB and Postgres database technologies
• Familiarity with social media APIs (Google, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
• Experience with Git/Github
• Ability to approach work with an open, flexible outlook focused on innovation
• Ability to deliver results under tight deadlines/release cycles
• Must be a creative thinker able to solve complex, highly technical problems

Bonus Points:

• Expertise with business intelligence tool or other client-facing reporting tools
