Web Analyst
We’re looking for a Senior Web Analyst to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Enterprise Apps team, you will be the primary owner for GA & GTM at Snap for all Web properties. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with various teams to perform data analysis of user behaviors on websites. You should be an expert in any Web Analytics Systems and should have worked on Search Engine Optimizations on websites.
What you’ll do:
Manage implementation, maintenance, and improvement of web analytics and tagging methodologies, primarily within Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager platforms
Provide analytical support to various teams in the organization; work closely with members of the marketing team to identify analytics tracking and reporting requirements, manage best practices, and pro-actively identify data quality issues and improve the client experience and analysis capability
Conduct analysis of the online customer experience to identify opportunities for growth including funnel, content, page engagement and conversion
Conduct analytic audits for compliance projects such as GDPR
Work with the data and analytics team to analyze and present quantifiable data metrics to back up assumptions and to set targets and measure key performance indicators
Work closely with the Web Eng team to identify gaps in the data capture strategy and to implement enhancements as needed
Work with Marketing, Operations, Production, and Site Merchandising teams to identify insights and optimization effort across content, category and product pages
Manage measurement/analytic platforms, including AB test analysis across global business units
Develop automated and ad hoc reports to support marketing decisions
Collaborate with key stakeholders on how to best leverage analytics to construct dashboards and reporting mechanisms in order to inform better business decisions and optimization recommendations
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within analytics, optimization, attribution and marketing channels as applicable
Minimum qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Web Analytics, preferable in digital marketing space
3+ years of experience developing or working with tracking systems for online behavior
2+ years experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Highly fluent with the full Google Analytics 360 suite, including expertise in leveraging integrations with Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform (DV360 and Campaign Manager)
Deep experience with Google Tag Manager, and the tag manager data layer interactions
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to drill down on business questions, drive relevant analysis and translate data into action
Understanding of browser behavior and how browsers relate to web servers and web pages, comfortable with debugging analytics network activity using browser tools
Strong knowledge of current best practices and standards to provide direction to web site developers/producers on tagging and tracking parameter methods
In-depth knowledge of shell-scripting technologies such as Python, Bash, etc.
Demonstrated ability to extract, conceptualize and communicate the significant patterns of visitor behavior from web data that identifies relevant business opportunities
Expert knowledge of Web technologies such as SQL, HTML, JavaScript, etc.
Able to work independently and proactively, identifying issues and raising them to senior management, as well as offering potential solutions
Implementation & troubleshooting experience with Google Optimizely
Experience with visualization tools including Google Data Studio
Experience in working with large data resources in BigQuery
