Senior Project Manager
Job Summary
We're looking for a Project Manager who will manage portfolios, projects, stakeholder meetings and will track and maintain KPI metrics and effectiveness reports. They will also track and drive the mitigation of any risks to project scope, delivery and costs. The Project Manager will coordinate with other stakeholder groups to ensure project deliverables are completed on time.
Roles and Responsibility (list in order of importance)
- Create and execute project plans, schedules and milestones, revising via approved change request when appropriate.
- Leverage Agile, Kanban and Waterfall frameworks as appropriate to deliver projects/initiatives with the highest level of customer satisfaction
- Facilitate day-to-day operational aspects of multiple assigned projects including business, operational and internal projects
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports including weekly reports, quarterly progress reports and weekly updates
- Monitor project progress and manage any issues as they arise
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
- Deliver effective internal and external communication, ensure transparency, and disseminate information appropriately
- Leverage tools (Jira, Jira Assistant, Jira APIs) to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
- Ensure projects are delivered successfully, on time and within budget
- Exercise change management best practices to help organizations manage change
- Align with PMO practices and perform capacity planning for upcoming release and/or quarterly cycles
- Work with team members to collaborate on project progress
Required Qualifications
Years of Experience in Related Field: 8+ years
Education: Undergraduate degree, in a quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience
Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in project coordination and management, from conception to delivery
- Ability to effectively communicate with audiences of various levels and backgrounds, both verbally and in written form
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience leading large Infrastructure projects across technical teams
- An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
- Experience with risk management and quality assurance control
- Strong working knowledge of Jira
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP Certification is a plus
- ITIL Foundations is a plus
- Certifications in SAFE, SCRUM, Kanban or other Agile methodologies
