A Better opportunity:

As a Post Closing UW Analyst, you will focus on troubleshooting and re-underwriting loans that are returned to post-closing with investor conditions. Therefore you’ll work closely with and assist the underwriting team in mitigating the company’s credit risk by performing tasks such as, but not limited to appraisal/Collateral Underwriter review, condition clearing and clearing investor suspense items.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Clear conditions as needed or by assignment of loans previously underwritten by a PC Underwriter
  • Effectively manage pipeline and maintain mandated turn times of assigned loans
  • Assists in investor suspense loan file reviews to clear suspense items and ensures the loan is salable.
  • Analyze  and verify all necessary financial information and documentation; ensure that loan files contain all necessary credit and legal documents
  • Work closely with other Post Closing Roles - PC Underwriters, PC Closers, etc..
  • Verify loan-to-value ratios, completeness of application and credit reports, as well as experience with DU and LPA

About You:

  • 2-3 Mortgage experience required, processing or post closing experience preferred
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated judgment and decision making ability
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • MUST be detail-oriented to maintain accuracy

These help, but aren’t dealbreakers:

  • Knowledge of Encompass LOS
  • Expertise in all facets of loan origination
  • Experience with conventional, jumbo and govt loans

Post Closing is a dynamic, multi-functional team that plays an essential role in the Mortgage process.  As part of our back-office support, we perform several key functions to facilitate the purchase of loan files, after closing, to our Investor partners on the Secondary market.
