As the data champion, you will be in a unique position to be an ambassador for a data-driven, employee-first culture and be driving strategy, execution, and understanding of Criteria's data assets. This person will build and enhance Criteria's data assets, ensure integrity of the data and its delivery, and develop new uses based on the needs of our clients and prospects. This role is crucial for supporting Criteria's leadership team, product, engineering, and go-to-market functions.

This position will initially be a hands-on "player" role and evolve into "coach" and will be responsible for building out the Data & Analytics team.

 What will I be doing?

  • Data Governance: Own the structure, usability, and validation of internal data sets from multiple sources, currently at 2M+ users with 1+ billion data points. Define and communicate a common methodology for company-wide metrics owned or monitored by multiple stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Responsible for key executive dashboards that monitor business metrics, customer health benchmarks, and track organizational performance on a monthly and quarterly basis. Work with technology teams to ensure we have the right tools and customization in place for self-serve reporting needs.
  • Analysis: Perform proactive business analysis and drill down on certain business challenges, providing conclusions and advice based on that analysis. In collaboration with I/O psychologists, product managers, and data scientists, develop candidate, client, and market level insights to help build Criteria's data-driven leadership.
  • Partnership: Collaborate with product and engineering team, and serve as an internal data consultant to Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance.  
  • Data Science: Build out a machine learning-capable data platform, and collaborate with data scientists and product managers to deliver data models that will move the needle in our business and establish Criteria as a leader in People Science

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in business performance reporting, data analysis and proactive insights
  • 2+ years of experience in managing data analytics teams and developing analysts
  • Aptitude in telling the story behind the data and translating analysis into insights and recommendations
  • Fluent in SQL with a proven track record of data analysis skills
  • Experience partnering with architecture and engineering team to develop reporting ecosystems built for internal teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to align senior stakeholders and cross functional teams on key metrics and limitations of the data
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree, preferably in statistics, mathematics, or other analytical field
  • Knowledgeable about machine learning models and applications
  • Familiar with Jupyter/Python, PySpark ecosystem
  • Pluses: Recruiting or HR analytics experience

Our corporate office is located in the Pacific Design Center, in the heart of West Hollywood. The office is easily accessible by bus and rail.
