ABOUT THE TEAM:

Business Science, which encompasses Digital Analytics, is one of the fastest growing fields within MediaCom and focuses on (1) providing data and analytics services to our clients, (2) developing optimal processes for managing data and performing analytics and (3) innovating in methods and algorithms used for data and analytics. MediaCom Business Science gives clients the power and confidence to make smarter investment decisions. The Business Science team supplies a wide range of advanced measurement options to drive business, channel & campaign planning as well as support our teams in developing optimization for clients, helping to set clear action plans for improvement.

 

Business Science is staffed with a team of professionals trained and dedicated to three specific areas: Cross Channel Measurement, Digital Analytics and Business Consultation. ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Manager of Analytics, you will lead the analysis of competitive research, brand surveys, audience segmentation, creative/UX impact, and media performance to provide optimization scenarios and recommendations. You will work closely with a team of media planners/buyers, creatives, and analysts to provide comprehensive support to our clients.

 

The Manager will assist the Associate Director in designing, implementing, executing, and refining analytics models, as well as staying ahead of industry trends and new solutions. You should be passionate about problem solving and constantly exploring ways to improve on our current offering.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Manage and mentor a growing and diverse analytics team while collaborating with a variety of personalities
  • Oversee development of analytical plans including proper selection of methodologies, techniques, KPIs and metrics
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of Campaign Analysis & Reporting, and Analytical capabilities for clients constantly looking for process efficiencies
  • Manage extraction of data sets from multiple marketing/database platforms and perform hygiene and quality control steps. Data sources will include: web analytic tools, media analytics, customer databases, social listening tools, search tools, syndicated data, research & survey tools, etc.
  • Work independently to mine marketing data to uncover actionable insights and help tell the story of what is driving performance
  • Measure the effectiveness of paid digital media campaign performance by working closely with media planning and investment teams
  • Data visualization and advanced reporting: Assist with moving away from Excel-centric reporting by contributing to the design and implementation of interactive, web-based reporting built with best-in-class data visualization software
  • Utilize and advance proprietary models that identify linkages between all conversions and media drivers
  • Serve as the main contact point for the majority of internal requests from the media planning & investment teams
  • Direct media planning & investment teams in the analysis of digital and direct response campaigns to uncover patterns and establish practical insights
  • Working closely with clients and account teams to assess business and marketing challenges, discuss the possible solutions, and execute a plan
  • Act as a sounding board/expert on media strategy and placement issues including media testing, media mix, target audience profiling, consumer insights, competitive understanding, and budget allocation, including integration of online and offline media
  • Serve as thought leader internally and with clients writing POV's on industry trends, new technologies in the analytics area
  • Spearhead new analytical initiatives to drive actionable insights for our clients
  • Pro-actively identify new opportunities and offer solutions to move forward

YOUR KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

  • Statistics: Familiarity with clustering, classification, correlation, and/or time series forecasting preferred
  • Data Science: Familiarity with Alteryx, API Connections
  • Code: Knowledge of PowerShell., SQL, Python, or R preferred
  • Dashboards: Familiarity with tools like Tableau, PowerBI, and Datorama preferred
  • Media: Digital Media experience/background preferred
  • Media Tools: Google Marketing Platforms including Campaign Manager, GDA, DV360, Google Analytics preferred. Social Platforms including Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest. Verification tools including IAS & Double Verify. Familiarity with Commspoint, ComScore, Kantar, Nielsen, and Adobe Analytics
  • Project Management: Experience estimating project scope, steps, and timing and managing tasks through to completion required
  • Communications: Excellent communication skills (including presentation skills) required

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role; Digital Media experience desired
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Economics, Statistics or related quantitative discipline
