The Role:

 The Inventory Supervisor is a leader within the operations team helping to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the company’s inventory along with helping drive inventory control improvements. This role will support operations by ensuring all logistics & fulfillment processes and procedures are executed across the organization and ensure inventory is managed efficiently with transparency. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and guidance to inventory team.
  • Monitor performance of department, ensure achievement of department goals, and assist in implementing improvements. 
  • Enforce material handling procedures according to company policies.
  • Accountable for reconciliation activities and assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues. 
  • Monitor and ensure the timely and accurate processing of orders and shipments.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in inventory or cycle counts.
  • Ensure stock is maintained and rotated properly and regularly (FEFO).
  • Compile inventory monthly reports and assist with month end reconciliation process.
  • Maintain records in order to establish improved procedures and to ensure the accuracy of all product transfers from one facility to other.
  • Monitor work of all inventory personnel and ensure achievement of all objectives and provide improvements to same if required.
  • Update and create Chef’d standard operating procedures and provide recommendations for improvement of existing processes while collaborating across supply chain, quality, production and receiving departments. 
  • Provide recommendations to improve warehouse inventory control and customer support operations. 
  • Report any discrepancies to management and appropriate cross departmental leaders.
  •  Maintain an organized, clean and safe warehouse floor.
  • Investigate and resolve all customer service/ inventory control problems through root cause analysis.
  • Ensure all transactions are properly processed and troubleshoot within our systems (we use NetSuite).
  • Manage critical shipments and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 1 - 3 years experience in a supervisor/lead role within inventory and/or supply chain.
  • 5+ years of inventory operations experience.
  • Knowledge and experience using ERP systems required. Experience with NetSuite preferred.
  • Microsoft Office experience with strong analytical skills. 
  • Must have food handlers card.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Must understand the demands of working in a cold and demanding environment.
  • Must be able to lift, pull, push, a minimum of 30 lbs or more.
  • Must be able to stand, pivot, bend for long periods of time.
