About the Director of Clinical Operations @ Headspace Health:

Headspace Health, a newly formed digital medicine subsidiary of Headspace, is looking for an exemplary clinical operations lead to drive the Health + Science Team in helping achieving the mission of Improving the Health and Happiness of the World. 

You have a passion for tackling the unknown and working to creatively answer questions that haven’t been explored. You gain energy from working with people and enjoy being at the center of all aspects of a project. You enjoy bringing people together to work toward a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. You’re an effective communicator verbally and visually, you can take complex information and distill it into “ah-ha” moments for each member of your target audience. You balance thoughtfulness and speed in your responses.

You’re an experienced scientist or physician dedicated to high quality clinical research and know how to design and execute a rigorous clinical trial. You have devoted your career to evaluating evidence-based interventions and bringing them out of the research lab and into the world in a safe, effective, and scalable way. You care about efficacy, clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and scientific rigor. Perhaps you’ve had experience with clinical research trials through an academic research role or come from industry. If this sounds like you, we’d love to meet you. 

How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:

• Design and manage clinical trials with Headspace’s SaMD digital medicine products to the highest scientific and clinical standards 
• Liaise with key stakeholders across the healthcare sector including patient advocacy organizations, professional organizations, payors, clinicians, and governmental groups
• Contribute to and create research operational processes that result in sharable and replicable standards, protocols, procedures, and other appropriate resources
• Develop and manage links with academic institutions to foster research opportunities and evidence based practice
• Oversee Clinical Research Organization partnerships and all externalized digital medicine R&D
• Be a leader at Headspace while embodying Headspace's core values - selfless drive, courageous heart, and curious mind

What you’ve accomplished:

• MD or PhD with industry background in clinical research operations
• 8+ years work experience
• Passion for healthcare and the mission that technology serves in creating value for the healthcare ecosystem 
• Experience with mHealth trials is desired
• Experience with FDA submission and negotiation is desired
• Experience developing a SaMD digital therapeutic is desired
• Eligible to work in the US
• Be willing to work out of our Santa Monica office–this is not a remote position
