GoGuardian is seeking a passionate engineer with a backend/devops mindset who revels in discovering potential application and infrastructure weaknesses and then crafting creative solutions to eliminate them. This role requires a broad mix of security, technical, coding and communication skills coupled with a strong desire to learn. The ideal candidate will share our passion for engineering excellence to solve complex security problems while minimizing employee friction and maximizing productivity. You will be relied upon to provide engineering and product teams with engineering expertise necessary to make confident product decisions.

What You'll Do

• Provide security guidance on a constant stream of new products and technologies
• Build tools and automation to manage and enforce security policies, automate processes at scale
• Software development
• Ability to design software solutions to satisfy security use cases
• Provide on-call coverage for tools developed and supported

Who You Are

• Experience with core security concepts such as microservices, secure coding practices, authentication and authorization systems and network security protocols
• Experience in security focused design, development, and/or architecture
• Experience with compiled or interpreted programming language (Golang, Java, Scala, PHP, Python, Javascript, shell scripting, etc)
• Knowledge of various databases (Redshift, Mysql, Postgres) and tooling
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
• Experience with browser security concepts and controls
• Experience articulating and advocating for technical security solutions across functional domains
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
