Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Turn data into information and information into knowledge
- Extract data from needed sources to answer business questions
- Transforms data to align to other data sources
- Prove and/or disprove assumptions with data backed outcomes
- Create high quality reports, charts and metrics for an executive level audience
- Prepare reports, KPIs and other trending metrics
- Develop, improve and automate scorecards and dashboards that drive insight and action
- Locate and define opportunities for process improvement
- Build databases, data files, and their supporting systems for reporting KPI, metrics and system analytics
- Critical thinking, creative problem solving, and resourcefulness a must
- Creating databases, data models and repeatable ETL processes
Qualifications:
- Self-starter who can work independently with little direction
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Talented user of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Experience using database technologies (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgresSQL) and working with large data sets
- Use and understanding of No-SQL database technologies (MongoDB, CouchDB, Redis)
- Skill in creating repeatable and automated processes
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases (SQL), and programming (XML, scripting).
- Skilled at queries, reporting writing and presenting findings
- Six Sigma certification is preferred but not necessary
- ITIL v3 certification is preferred but not necessary
- A bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or computer science is preferred.Corresponding years of experience and/or relevant certifications will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
