About the role

We are actively looking for an exceptional, data-driven analyst to join our small and growing team. We are experiencing tremendous growth, and performance marketing is one of the driving forces behind this. You will be focusing mostly on data analysis, dashboarding, and reporting that fuels our paid growth initiatives (eg. Facebook and Google marketing campaigns). On an average day you might be working on strategy requests like “where can our next $ be most effectively spent?” “how did that A/B test do in Direct Mail?

Things you're good at

  • Data analytics: You live and breathe data visualization, analysis, and reporting. You proactively find opportunities for growth and effectively communicate these opportunities to the team.
  • Marketing: Not only do you excel at data analytics but you love marketing and understand the importance of marketing analyses in relation to company growth.
  • Problem Solving: You have no problem rolling up your sleeves and figuring out how to solve problems as they relate to user acquisition, data, and product funnels.
  • Delivering results: You can deliver tangible, accurate results for our performance marketing campaigns in a clear and results oriented manner. 
  • Understanding the landscape: You stay up to date on all things digital marketing and paid acquisition to ensure the company is aware of any platform or attribution evolutions. 
  • Communication: You have the ability to synthesize information and concisely communicate important results and solutions to the broader team.
  • Incrementality: You understand the importance of incrementality as it pertains to marketing spend, and how to accurately measure incremental KPIs

Responsibilities

  • Own and operate our core marketing dashboards
  • Be the gatekeeper for data validation and accurate performance measurement
  • Deliver insights and actionable findings for the team (proactively and by request)
  • Help measure incrementality across our various channels and campaigns
  • Reconcile discrepancies in data and attribution
  • Maintain daily and weekly reports that give necessary insights to the marketing team
  • Work with acquisition managers to test and measure new campaigns and initiatives
  • Present to leadership on outcomes and proposed iterations

Requirements

  • 3-5 years working in marketing analytics
  • Expertise in data analysis (pivot tables, retention curves, LTV:CAC calculations)
  • Obsessed with analytics and command of data tooling (e.g. Looker, Metabase, Mixpanel) 
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and advanced Excel skills
  • Track-record of delivering analyses and recommendations that lead to effective user growth
  • Command of business economics and the relation to ad budgeting and spend (CAC:LTV, ROAS, ARPU, Payback period)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with an ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with attribution and campaign tracking (MMPs, deeplinks, UTMs)
