THE JOB:
We are looking for a savvy Business Intelligence Engineer to join our growing team of Data Science and Business Intelligence. The successful candidate will work on impactful projects that range from creating various data integration pipelines and data models in the company’s data platform to understanding reporting requirements from business stakeholders and providing technical solutions. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys working with data, building and optimizing data systems from the ground up. The successful candidate will develop and maintain our data and reporting platforms and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. The candidate must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products
WE WILL DEPEND ON THIS PERSON TO:
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and load (ETL/ELT) of data from wide variety of data sources using SQL and Azure cloud services.
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insight into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Marketing, Data, Engineering and Operations teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Keep our data separate and secure across the boundaries of data centers and regions.
- Make sure data security and privacy is compliant with required data protection laws and regulations like CCPA, GDPR, etc.
- Collaborate and create data tools for analytics and data science team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
- Create, maintain and enhance dashboards, reports and other visualizations for stakeholders.
YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role, who has an educational background in Computer Science or Engineering, Math, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
- Experience with relational SQL databases, including MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services: Azure Data Factory, Data Pipelines, Data Bricks, Azure Functions, Storage, SQL Database and/or Data Warehouse, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar analytical and reporting tools.
- Computer programming skills including Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, R, SQL, XML, JSON.
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, etc.

Understand the company business context, data sources and BI infrastructure available. Take over maintenance and enhancement of the current data integration pipelines and Power BI reports.
Fully manage data integration processes, investigate and recommend possibly improvements for scalability and reliability. Streamline report development and delivery process in Power BI.
Have worked with stakeholders to design the evolution of the data and reporting platform in consideration with future data growth, integrations with new data vendors and demand for analytics and data mining.
