GoGuardian is looking for a motivated business intelligence analysts to help track, analyze, advise, and constantly improve the performance of our business. This is an exciting opportunity to transform an entire company by working closely with business decision makers, scientists, analysts, and researchers. This BI Analyst will be experienced in retrieving data from a variety of sources, building Edward Tufte-approved visualizations, and working with department leads to drive improvement through data. Senior and/or management positions may be available for exceptionally qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Provide tactical and strategic intelligence to business decision makers (BDMs) within the company including sales, marketing, product, and people.
• Work closely with BDMs to understand their business intelligence (BI) requirements and assist in defining KPIs and metrics for each department.
• Build and manage data analytics products (reports, dashboards, etc.) to monitor business performance and make data-informed decisions.
• Provide written and verbal summaries, conclusions, and recommendations regarding business performance.
• Alert decision makers to changes in business performance, investigate and attempt to explain these changes quantitatively.
• Implement reproducible research principles when building data products.
• Work with the data warehouse team to prioritize data needs, identify data QA issues, assist in data modeling, and monitoring of nightly BI-related jobs.
• Help ensure department software tools (e.g. SalesForce, Google Analytics) are being used in a manner that results in reliable data collection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2+ years experience analyzing business data from CRM and/or marketing systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent SQL skills
• Proficiency in Tableau, Looker, PowerBI or another modern dashboarding tool
• Comfort working with department leads and guiding them to use data
• A desire to proactively help departments think scientifically and act based upon sound data

Bonus

• Experience with Amazon Web Services Redshift
• Command line skills
• Proficiency in Python or R
