We’re searching for a hands-on Business Analyst to support our rapid growth. The candidate will focus on research, analysis, and thought leadership in support of Epirus’ account portfolios and segment leaders. This includes proposal composition, evaluating and forecasting trends in defense & commercial markets, government budgets, and competitor strategies. The candidate will report to the Director of Business Intelligence and can be located either in Hawthorne, CA or McLean, VA.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, possess engaging and persuasive writing skills, data-oriented & data-driven, and can exhibit a team-focused leadership style. This candidate is knowledgeable of federal procurement procedures, attuned to innovative technology publications, and has exceptional ability to prepare data for effective analysis and decision-making.
Duties:
- Develop proposals, white papers, and ad-hoc research requests to support new business acquisition and decision-making
- Solid understanding and possess the ability to parse raw information in DoD / Federal Agencies / competitor budget materials, briefings, and appropriations into insights
- Actively monitor market trends and competitive landscape to conduct data analysis to create data visualizations and presentations
- Apply knowledge of partners, customers, and competitors’ information to support segment leaders and business development/capture management efforts
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to build relationships that maximize Epirus’ win probability
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Management, Business Management or a related discipline
- Ample experience using Sam.gov and other publicly available postings / data to identify and analyze opportunities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with customers, teammates, and executives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Information Management, Business Management or a related discipline
- Active federal security clearance
- Experience with Salesforce and Tableau (or similar data visualization platforms)
- Experience shaping, awarding/winning, and executing DoD / Federal Agencies / Commercial competitive contract opportunities
- Certifications in FAC, DAWIA, PMI, CSM, or CFCM/CPCM
