Job Description
The Analytics & Data Science Team at Centerfield is responsible for descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, automated and ad-hoc reporting, and AI-powered solutions that maximize marketing performance and profitability for our company and our clients. Some of the problems we work on include search engine marketing, search engine optimization, lead scoring, workforce management, speech analytics, and agent performance.
We’re looking for a highly-motivated, passionate Business Analyst with the ability to glean useful insights from diverse datasets to meet the analytic needs of the business. You must have practical experience working with large datasets in ecommerce, digital marketing, or cloud computing domains. You will work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, think through risks and opportunities that impact business performance, provide actionable insights, and develop creative data-driven solutions. Your role will require you to leverage advanced analytical methods and techniques to synthesize, clean, visualize, and investigate data to deliver recommendations aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Use descriptive and inferential statistics to understand customer behaviors, identify opportunities to drive conversions, and optimize marketing efforts
- Perform deep dives into various business initiatives to diagnose underlying drivers and root causes and provide data-driven recommendations and solutions
- Build automated dashboards, reports, visualizations, and models to help teams make faster and better decisions
- Define and evaluate KPIs and provide regular reporting of core metrics to cross-functional stakeholders
- Own design, development, and maintenance of all ad-hoc analyses and reports
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Engineering teams to answer high-priority strategic business questions and translate complex findings and results into a compelling narrative
- Support the operationalization and integration of analytics outputs to achieve maximum business value
Skills/Attributes Required
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative fields
- 3+ years of relevant work experience doing quantitative analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is a must (able to build dashboards with use of complex formulas)
- Strong foundation in SQL is a must (able to write complex SQL queries)
- Ability to understand an unstructured business problem and translate it into an analytically tractable question
- Ability to synthesize complex datasets from different sources and present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to define relevant metrics that can guide and influence stakeholders to the appropriate and accurate insights
- Ability to lead projects independently and deliver measurable results in a timely manner
- Ability to tell a story with data both verbally and visually
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to cross-functional partners of varying technical levels
- Experience with experimentation, optimization, and A/B testing against hypotheses to drive improvements within the business
- Experience with data visualization and BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI)
- Willingness to learn new tools or analytical techniques as required
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, Redshift) is a plus
- Experience with a programming language like Python or R is a plus
- Experience with digital marketing, speech analytics, and/or call center operations is a plus
