Job Description
The TV Distribution Business Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, documentation and testing of business processes, requirements, functional specification and data flow for Global TV licensing and distribution application. This position will report to the Director, TVD Sales Technology and be based in Universal City, CA.
Job Duties

  • Serve as key contact to user community, overseeing the collection and validation of business requirements for project and program initiatives .
  • Assume liaison role between business users and technical team, providing single point of contact for project and support activities .
  • Lead the business requirements gathering workshops and produce business process and requirements documentation.
  • Lead functional design sessions and produce functional specification / use case / user story documentation, that can be used by systems analysts, designers and engineers.
  • Create wireframe diagrams and prototype for screen design.
  • Create specification for data flow and data interfaces including source to target field level mapping and business rules.
  • Support the technical teams throughout the design, development and implementation phases.
  • Ability to read and understand API architecture and ability to test them using tools like, Postman
  • Ability to read and understand database objects like SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Triggers.
  • Lead testing initiative by developing test plans and coordinating the resolution of bug fixes and production defects.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and conduct user training.
  • Track, research, and prioritize all issues, communicate regular progress and status on issues, and resolutions to management via written reports.
  • Strong analytical skills with innovative approaches to solve complex business requirements.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how best to apply technical solutions to enhance business processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with business leadership, end users, team members, and other IT areas.
  • Manage time effectively, with ability to handle multiple high priority tasks simultaneously and meet project commitments.

  • Qualifications
    Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in professional roles within Information Technology.
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer or business facing role.
  • 2+ years of experience in a role supporting development and production support function.
  • 2+ years of experience with Wireframing, UI/UX prototype for browser-based application development.
  • 2+ years of experience with APIs, Microservices, databases and proficiency with SQL.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Media / Entertainment experience.
  • Television Licensing and Distribution experience.
  • Finance and/or Accounting experience.

  • This is an exciting position that will provide exposure to the global distribution sales and operations processes and organizations in NBCU businesses.
  • This position requires a schedule accommodating core business hour as well as overtime work to meet deadlines.
