Videographer
SimplePractice is seeking a video editor with videography experience to be a foundational member of our educational video content division, SimplePractice Learning. We’re building a brand new video studio, where you can help us create industry-leading continuing education courses for therapy professionals.
As an in-house creative, your primary task will be editing long-form video courses that we shoot in studio and remotely with DSLR cameras. You’ll have attention to detail, perform color correction and sound sweetening, and thoroughly address edit notes.
When you’re not editing, you’ll use your videography skills to remotely produce video shoots. This means directing the subject how to set up the camera kit and lighting via Zoom, so professional communication, confidence and patience are essential. When we get back in the office, you’ll also roll up your sleeves to help with camera, lighting, and sound on in-house video shoots.
With a wide range of projects on the horizon and a studio under construction, your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously will lead to more opportunities and leadership in our video team, including pitching and directing your own video projects.
What you'll do:
Edit long-form video projects like educational courses in an efficient manner and within deadlines. Manage and organize media files for edit and archive.
Direct “remote” shoots via zoom with an eye for lighting and camera framing, even when you have to be ‘hands off’ and instruct the subject on how to set up the camera.
Assist with on-set videography, lighting and sound equipment setup for in-house videos.
Proactively work to complete projects with little oversight. Adapt to schedule changes and be willing to shift gears to help the team when necessary.
Improve the performance of the video production team by building and monitoring Asana task boards for organization and planning, and communicate with other teams to collect resources.
